Sound 5 - Kids Playing

I finishing up my sound walk and actually ended up walking past a school I had walked by in the beginning of my walk. The school was very quite the first time I had walked past it, but the second time it was very noisy and a lot of commotion was going on. It was recess time for the students and they where all having fun in their own ways. I thought it was very interesting the sounds that children make when their having fun so I stopped to listen. Here is what it sounded like.

Sound 4 - Musical Tires

I didn't want to record the sounds of cars driving by but I heard something different coming from the cars driving by. It wasn't the sound of the cars themselves but the sound of the tires hitting the cracks and pot holes in the road. It was almost as if the tires and the pavement where making its own music. Listen Here.

Sound 3 - Spring Day

I was walking for awhile without hearing really anything then suddenly out of no where I heard birds chirping and someone hammering. Then what really made it even more interesting the local church bells started to play there hourly song. It was really amazing and HERE is where you can hear it.

Sound 2 - Sewer Drains

I was crossing the street and heard some water flowing almost like a creek. What made it odd to me was I was in the middle of the city and there was no creeks where I was. I noticed the sound was coming from two sewer drains that had water flowing into them. They where on each side of me so my mics picked up to different sound of running water. Here is what it sounded like.

Drift 1 Strategy and Map

For my strategy I plan on starting at my apartment and walking around my neighborhood which is in Wauwatosa since I moved into my current location not to long ago and don't know the area all that well yet. I figure it will be a good way to learn the area and at the same time I don't have any subconscious route I take so they will all be fresh and new. To be on the safe side I plan on using an antilogarithm just in case which will be something like this:

Second Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right.

HERE (and below) is the map showing my starting point and the area I plan on walking in:
